We wanted to share a quick update about dangerous driving in your area. Please be assured weβre working to keep everyone safe.
Keeping our roads safe is a shared responsibility, and recently your local policing teams joined colleagues for a large-scale traffic operation on St John's Road, opposite Riverside Way, Uxbridge, aimed at tackling dangerous driving and protecting all road users. During the operation, officers focused on a range of offences, including: β
Using a mobile phone while driving β
Driving without insurance β
Cloned number plates β
Driving without a valid licence β
Drug and drink driving β
Seatbelt offences β
Vehicles in a dangerous or defective condition β
Excess speed and anti-social driving
The operation delivered positive results, with outcomes including arrests, vehicle seizures and numerous Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) issued to drivers committing offences. While enforcement is an important part of policing, the primary aim of these operations is to keep our community safe. Every day, local residents, school children, cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians use these roads. Drivers who choose to ignore the law place themselves and others at unnecessary risk.
We would like to thank residents who continue to report concerns to us. Community intelligence helps us identify problem locations, target our resources effectively and take action against those who make our roads less safe. By working together, we can continue making a positive difference across Uxbridge and the wider Hillingdon area.

If someone is driving a motor vehicle, they should always be doing so in a safe and considerate manner. Even momentary lapses in judgement can have life changing or devastating consequences for those in the vehicle or innocent bystanders. Activities such as street racing, cruising or performing tricks can count as anti-social behaviour. If you are concerned about this in your area, visit our website for the latest guidance.
